A little about me

Hello, I'm Nya!

I’m Nya Talley, a student studying Life Sciences Illustration at the Cleveland Institute of Art. My background began with traditional drawing using ink and markers, with comic-style line art being one of my favorite approaches.

Although I’m interested in comic illustration and plan to continue it as a side project or hobby, I’ve developed a strong passion for translating scientific subjects into clear visuals that make information easier to understand. My background in comic art also reflects my range and understanding of different art forms.

While I still have a great deal to learn in Life Sciences Illustration, that ongoing process of growth is what motivates me. Through my coursework, I’ve gained experience in digital illustration, research, adapting to new programs, working from observation, meeting deadlines, and balancing scientific accuracy with visual clarity.

I’m especially interested in opportunities to learn more about different animal species and collaborate with professionals. I’m excited to keep improving, challenge myself creatively, and contribute to projects that help make science more accessible to others.
